Telangana: Task Force seizes 103 quintals of stolen PDS rice

The Commissioner’s Task Force (south) team caught a DCM van driver who was allegedly smuggling rice meant for dispensing under a public distribution scheme. The police seized 103 quintals of the rice and DCM vehicle.

According to the police, the man Mohd Yousuf, a resident of Indiranagar in Borabanda worked for Viquar and Aleem, who are into PDS rice illegal business. “Yousuf was transporting the rice to different places at the behest of Viquar and Aleem. He was caught while he was on way to deliver the PDS rice consignment to Maharashtra,” said Additional DCP Task Force, A Srinivasa Rao.
