Ramadoss urges TN govt to curb corruption at direct paddy procurement centres
By Bosco Dominique
PMK founder S Ramadoss on Monday condemned the Tamil Nadu govt for failing to curb “large-scale corruption” at direct paddy procurement centres, especially those located in the Cauvery delta districts.
In a statement, Ramadoss alleged that the employees at the centres demanded a bribe of Rs 100 per quintal to procure paddy from farmers.
He urged the govt to implement the necessary structural reforms at the centres to stop extortion of money from farmers.
